Chrome On Mac Game Fan Overheat Reddi

I wish this fixed it for me, still having the fan kick on and chrome using 30-50% cpu on my surface pro 3 while in full-screen on YouTube. IE is sipping CPU at below 5% on the same videos. I love my chrome extensions, but the difference is silly. I can't wait to see what Spartan has to offer. For example, RealTemp shows that the cpu idles at about 50-55 celsius, however when playing a game like Aion (which this setup is rated to be able to run it set to high settings) the laptop will shut off within 30 minutes or so, giving a reboot warning that the system overheated (reporting 90+ celsius) even when the game is set to run on the.

So, I've got a late '09 MBP.
Specs are:
2.8 GHz C2D
4GB DDR3 RAM
320GB 7200rpm HDD
running 10.6.4
I've been playing CS:S and an online game called RuneScape and have had my Mac shut down on me frequently.
The online game isn't an incredibly intense game, but is run via browser. In both cases, my Mac reaches the very high 90s - in Celsius.
At the moment, the only applications I have open are Chrome, an IRC client, and Quicksilver. With these three applications running, I'm sitting on 64 degrees Celsius, with my fans both running at 5482 rpm. Chrome has only one tab open.
When playing either game, my system reaches, and exceeds 100 degrees Celsius and forces it to go to sleep.
The actual machine is incredibly hot to touch - I've got my MBP hooked up to a 26' HDTV with an external keyboard so I'm not actually touching my MBP until it goes to sleep.
I'm also using a cooling pad, and still have these temperatures.
I'm considering downgrading to 10.6.3 - is there any way to do this without having the Snow Leopard install disk?

Hello Apple people,

Game capture HD still has the same exact issues it did a full year and 3 months ago.I have been working with Elgato support from June 18th until today, July 20th) We haven’t really gotten anywhere, but they are trying to help. Elgato on mac.

Whenever I run BootCamp Windows 8.1, my MBP's fans are spinning like jet turbos. Is this normal for all old and new MBP models? I don't get this issue from Yosemite or Sierra and even if I run Adobe programs the fans don't spin as much as they do on Windows partition. My old MBP has less trouble overheating thanks to a new SSD. But the laptop will make awful fan noises when I switch back to Windows partition. It'll remain pretty darn noisy during the Windows update and regular software installation. Also my MBP overheats more often on Windows partition. I'm concerned about hardware components, such as the logic board and RAM, getting deteriorated due to the heat. The overheating is definitely not caused by accumulated dust (there's some dust hanging on the cooling fan duct but it's still not enough to cause any issue). Should I make some changes on the power setting by going to Control Panel -> Power plan-> Advanced power setting -> processor power management -> minimum processor state and then set it for around 5%? Someone mentioned these steps from an old BootCamp group forum. Does anyone have suggestions and recommendations? Are fan noise and overheating problems common for MBPs running on BootCamp Windows? Are these issues something related to BootCamp?
